French-born, South African-raised duo, The SoapGirls brash style and artistic direction feels quite modern, also contrast excellently with a sound that would be perfectly in place on any ’90s grunge playlist. It’s almost impossible to not think of Hole while listening to current single “Breathe,” but there’s something deeper going on here. The sisters started out by selling soap to donate to local hospitals and named their fans the Suds.
